International Diabetes Federation (IDF)

The IDF is an umbrella organization of over 240 national diabetes associations in 160 countries and territories. It represents the interests of the growing number of people with diabetes and those at risk and has been leading the global diabetes community since 1950. The IDF is engaged in action to tackle diabetes from the local to the global level ― from programs at community level to worldwide awareness and advocacy initiatives.
The Federation’s activities aim to increase public awareness and encourage health improvement, promote the exchange of high-quality information about diabetes, and provide education for people with diabetes and their healthcare providers. IDF is associated with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations and is in official relations with the World Health Organization (WHO).

Joyful Life Gives Back

Cooking4Change

Our passion for cooking has transformed the lives of millions around the world. As we empower people to eat better, live better, and achieve the life they desire; we channel the same passion as we reach out and help children across the globe through books and education. Inspired by our legacy of changing life, Joyful Life gives back by funding Cooking4Change, an initiative started by our CEO, Araceli Balais. Every time we cook a health and wellness cooking presentation, Joyful gives a book and money to help build mini libraries in the Philippines, Kenya, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. The money raised will go towards renovating small classrooms that will serve as libraries and to building small tables and chairs to comfortably sit our little readers and volunteers.

Joyful Life has collaborated with The Tulong Foundation, Jil Lasaca Initiative and Promise of Tomorrow Global Movement. The Tulong Foundation has been instrumental in the donation of hundreds of gently used books from Tyler ISD. Our hearts are overflowing with gratefulness to everyone who unselfishly contributed to Cooking4Change.

The Tulong Foundation

The Tulong Foundation envisions a world where girls and boys of impoverished countries have the confidence to pursue all of their academic aspirations regardless of their socioeconomic background. While monetary aid from international humanitarian organizations are allocated to larger cities, our impact focuses on the much smaller villages and provinces that do not usually receive help because of their isolated location. With your support, students from remote areas will be given the opportunity to pursue their academic interests without the challenges and hardships one faces while living in a rural, poverty-stricken community.
